About Us

Colonel Richardson High School is a small rural high school, centered between the towns of Preston, Maryland (Pop. 566) and Federalsburg, Maryland (Pop. 2,620), in Caroline County. Our school is located on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, situated between the Atlantic Ocean and Chesapeake Bay. Caroline County is the only landlocked county on the Eastern Shore. Colonel Richardson High School is located approximately 75 miles southeast of Baltimore, 70 miles east of Washington, D.C., and 100 miles south of Philadelphia. Salisbury, Maryland and Dover, Delaware are the two nearest urban centers and are located approximately 40 and 50 miles, respectively, from Colonel Richardson High School.
