The Caroline County Coalition for Drug, Alcohol and Tobacco Prevention is looking for more members-especially parents of youth in Caroline County.

Much has transpired with the Coalition within the last six months - since being awarded the Drug Free Communities Grant. This funding has dramatically increased the potential and responsibility of the Coalition to reach for goals set - to protect our youth from alcohol, tobacco and other drugs and to mobilize the whole community behind this effort. We have many dedicated members who are devoted to the issue of reducing and preventing underage drinking and drug use in Caroline County. However, if we are going to expand this effort, we need even more community members, leaders and "champions" for our youth who will join this effort to create a safe and healthy Caroline County for our youth, families and ALL members of our community.

In addition to the amazing benefit of the Drug Free Communities Grant, we are now pursuing another grant opportunity through the STOP(Sober Truth on Preventing Underage Drinking) Act Grants which has the potential of bringing us $50,000 - possibly for four years. It is a very exciting time for all of us!

Won't you plan on attending the next meeting on Wednesday, March 26th at the HAPS Building (Health Department) in Denton? As always, please feel free to contact us with any questions.
