Newsweek 2010- Ranked as one of America's Top high schools based upon the AP Challenge Index.

Honored by the Maryland Center for Character Education as a 2008-2009 School of the Year.

2010 graduates of North Caroline High School were offer in excess of $3,000,000 in scholarships and grants.

Recognized by Maryland State Department of Education for student involvement in the Kids Helping Kids 2009 program sponsored by the Maryland State Department of Education and the Maryland Food Bank. North Caroline High School students and staff collected over 2,183 pounds of food.

Recognized by Maryland State Department of Education for participation in the 2010 Maryland Kids Care Campaign, relief for Haiti. Maryland schools contributed over $500,000.

Teachers who have earned National Board Certification: Ms. Mirta Bradner, Spanish teacher, Mr. Gary Bee, Social Studies teacher, Ms. Melissa Mulligan, Math teacher, Ms. Brenda Scanlon, Math teacher, Kevin Webster, Technology Education teacher, Mr. William Miller, History teacher.

National Merit Scholarship Program: Aaron Lethma and Nicholas Honor 2010 Commended students.

2010 Maryland Distinguished Scholars Program: 30 students recognized as Maryland Distinguished Scholars and 2 finalist, Aaron Lethma and Levin Taylor IV.

Since 2004, four students from North Caroline High School have received appointments to United States Service Academies.
