Hello CCTC Families! My name is Courtney Handte and I am the new proud Principal of Caroline Career and Technology Center.
The vision of the Caroline Career and Technology Center is to enhance the educational outcomes for all students by developing students who have 21st Century Skills and who are College and Career Ready. As Principal of CCTC, I will work collaboratively with students, parents, staff and the community toward the vision to prepare students to be productive citizens who are equipped with the skills to further their education or enter into a career or the military.
Students with 21st Century skills are not only successful in careers but they are also successful in life. They are lifelong learners who know how to set goals and achieve them. They can work collaboratively and productively. They value diversity and are culturally proficient. We aim to prepare students to be innovative problem solvers. Our students think outside of the box to attack various challenges. These skills give the students the competitive edge needed to be successful in their chosen path in continued education, the workforce or the military.
Our goal is for our students to have the knowledge and skills necessary to pass the licensure assessments. I will work with students, families and staff to ensure that students are successful with their high school graduation requirements as well as completing the requirements needed for licensure assessments and industry recognized certifications. We strive to make Career Technical Education (CTE) accessible and equitable for all students because students who participate in CCTC programs have value added opportunities such as college credits as well as industry recognized certifications. These opportunities provide our students with an advantage leaving high school and transitioning into adulthood.
I am committed and looking forward to collaborating for your child’s success during the 2020-2021 School Year. I look forward to meeting you at our Open House. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions.
