About
This Area Caroline County is located east of the Chesapeake
Bay on Maryland's Eastern Shore. It is situated midway between
Maryland's northern and southern borders and shares its eastern
border with Delaware. Farming, primarily grain and vegetable
crops, is a major economic pursuit.
The county seat, Denton, is on Shore Highway
(Route 404), 31 miles from the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. To learn

A unique and interesting feature of this
area is its rural character, however it is within easy access
to metropolitan and resort areas. See the listing below:
*Baltimore: The States largest city
is located on the Western Shore in a northwesterly direction
approximately 1 1/2 hours from Denton.
*Annapolis: The capital of Maryland and
home of the U.S. Naval Academy is located directly west of Denton
about 45 minutes driving time.
*Washington D.C.: Our nations capital
and home of our national heritage is located directly west of
Denton about two hours driving time.
*Dover, DE: Located northeast of Denton,
Dover is Delawares capital and famous for tax free shopping!
*Beach Resort Areas: Places such as Rehoboth
Beach and Ocean City are about 1 1/2 hours away and easy drive
to enjoy sun and fun!
Again, an advantage of the Caroline County
area is that it rests peacefully and out-of -the way from more
populated urban locations. Exploring the Chesapeake Bay area
is always fun and interesting.
